Lux Ruins Elden Ring Location And Exploration Guide
The Lux Ruins serve as an early destination for players arriving at the Altus Plateau in Elden Ring. Situated along the western cliffs, this ancient site holds valuable treasures, hidden bosses, and useful combat enhancements. Thoroughly exploring this area gives adventurers a strong start when transitioning into the mid-game territory.
Finding the Path to Lux Ruins
Reaching the Lux Ruins is straightforward if you approach from the Grand Lift of Dectus or the nearby Altus Plateau Site of Grace. Players traveling northwest across the plateau will spot the broken stone walls nestled atop the hillside. Alternatively, mounted travelers can utilize Torrent's double jump to ascend from the Erdtree-Gazing Hill lower area.
Navigating Encounters and Hidden Secrets
The upper ruins are guarded by aggressive groups of Demi-Human enemies and their dangerous pack leaders. Defeating these hostile creatures allows players to freely search the area for useful crafting materials and item drops. A glowing Teardrop Scarab can also be spotted within the stone structures, granting the powerful Ash of War: Shield Crash upon defeat.
Defeating Demi-Human Queen Gilika
Deep within the central structure lies a subterranean stairwell leading to an underground boss chamber. Here, players face Demi-Human Queen Gilika, a large foe capable of heavy staff strikes and wide sweeping attacks. Staying mobile and aiming for her hindquarters makes this encounter significantly easier for both melee and ranged builds.
Claiming the Ritual Sword Talisman
After vanquishing Queen Gilika, players can open the heavy stone door located at the back of the arena. Inside awaits a treasure chest containing the valuable Ritual Sword Talisman. This unique accessory provides a substantial boost to overall attack power whenever your character maintains full health.
